Student Loan Relief Program
Investing in the community by helping students shoulder the burden of repaying educational loans
There are 336,153 students enrolled in colleges, universities, and institutions of higher learning throughout the state of Indiana. More than 210,699 of these students have accrued substantial student loan debt. There are more collegians in Indiana with student loans than there are with a home or auto loan. Students often withdraw or neglect to attain the highest degree levels due to the anxiety associated with accumulating even more student loan debt.
Helping students repay their student loan debt will allow them to invest themselves productively in their future and their community. Repayment assistance will also help strengthen the economy and individual credit scores of collegians. Lastly, the collection of donations and application fees will constantly replenish the funds of the SLRO and allow present students to help future students pay off their student loan debt. The success of this program in Indiana will promote the initiation of this program throughout the nation.
